GARDEN DESIGN
Keeping a notebook to record where you have planted and what you have planted, and future intentions, is worthwhile.
For almost any garden, drawing a plan, even if only a basic one with the main dimensions on for principal areas, will be a big help.
Before you start making changes to your garden, note the position of the sun through the day and watch how it brings out changing hues and shade of various areas so that you can make the best use of it.
Put plants in containers so that you can move them around before you decide on their position.
If you have just moved into a house with a garden, do nothing serious with it for a while so that you can see what works already for you.
