LAWN CARE
If the edge of your lawn is damaged, dig out a square of turf containing the damaged edge, to about 3 inches deep to retain the rooting. Then turn the square round so that the damage is within the lawn, and water and seed it, adding a little soil if necessary, and it will quickly regrow.
Seeding a lawn is best done in September, after that wait until spring (March/April).
Straight edges to a lawn make it appear more formal. Curved edges make it a little more friendly.
Set the blades high on your lawnmower for the first few cuts of the year, and lower them later in the year. Similarly, set them high for new-grown grass after seeding.
Feeding your lawn in spring is one of the easiest ways to increase its growth, when it is at its most receptive.
